Can children attend morning and afternoon camps?
Should I send a lunch with my child to camp?
If your child is attending a morning and afternoon camp, you should send a lunch with them. The morning camp instructors will allow time to eat their lunch.
If your child is only attending a morning camp, there will be time to eat their lunch if you choose to send one with them.
If your child is only attending an afternoon camp, there will not be time to eat, so you should make sure they eat lunch before you drop them off for camp.
What else should I send with my child to camp?
How does sign-in and sign-out work?
Parents will sign their child in to each camp and out at the end of each camp at the front entrance to the school. If they are attending morning and afternoon camp on the same day, our staff will make sure they get from their morning camp to their afternoon camp.
If someone other than the parent who registered their child for the camp will pick them up or if the child has permission to walk home afterwards, contact lifelong.learning@bvsd.org with your written permission. Please include your child's name, the specific camp name and dates, camp location and the full name(s) of the other adults that have permission to pick up or drop off.

Is Lifelong Learning child care?
BVSD Lifelong Learning Enrichment is not licensed child care. BVSD Lifelong Learning Enrichment (LLL) offers classes and camps that are supplemental enrichment to the school day. Classes can run anywhere from one session to 12 weeks, and may be cancelled beforehand due to low enrollment.
Community Schools offers BVSD Child Care through three programs.

Providing for Student Accommodations
BVSD assures equal access to after school programs and extracurricular activities for students with disabilities. IEPs do not automatically apply to these programs, so the School District conducts an individualized inquiry about the student’s needs and whether there are reasonable modifications, aids or services that could be provided to allow the student an equal opportunity for participation in the program or activity. These discussions can occur in an IEP meeting, a Section 504 meeting or in an individualized discussion between a coach or activity leader and a parent.
If you believe your student requires modifications or accommodations to access a BVSD Lifelong Learning Enrichment program, please contact lifelong.learning@bvsd.org or (720)561-5968.

How does my child get to the enrichment class at the end of the school day?
Your child's LLL class will take place immediately after the school bell. Their classroom teacher will assist with transitioning students to their LLL class. For younger students who may need a little extra help with this transition, we suggest that parents connect with their child's classroom teacher and clarify the procedure.
For adult classes, please reference your class times and location in your registration confirmation.
